Hi, I’m Maria. I am glad that you stopped by and I look forward to working with you to tell your story. There are so many moments in our lives that we want to capture and remember and I love turning those moments into stories with my camera.

I am a New England photographer living in beautiful Sunapee, NH. I have both the lakes and mountains in my backyard and love using the natural beauty of New England as a backdrop for my photos. My husband and I first met when we were about 10 on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, where my family vacationed and he lived. A childhood friendship turned into love and we have been happily married for over 25 years. Recent empty nesters, we enjoy any time we get to spend with our 2 college bound sons and look forward to watching them forge their futures.

Your Story by Maria started because of my love for photography. I have always loved taking pictures, both to document events and just to capture the emotion of a simple moment. As a stay-at-home mom while my boys were growing up I went on every field trip and to every sporting event they had, camera in hand. Days at the beach, skiing or traveling to Alaska, the UK or simply cooking smores in the backyard – my camera was always by my side. Soon friends and family began asking me to document their families and stories. As my boys grew (as did social media where my pictures were often shared) so did the requests for me to do senior pictures, a birthday party, a sporting event or a backyard wedding and soon the requests were coming from people outside my community and circle of friends. It was time and with encouragement and love Your Story by Maria was born.
